Rôtisseurs Bailliage de greater Ft.
Lauderdale. The
Ft. Lauderdale Bailliage, or Chapter was the first Bailliage established in
Florida, and remains one of the most active "Chaîne"
(pronounced shen) Chapters in the United States. Twelve Chaîne or Mondiale
events are organized each year in the Greater Ft. Lauderdale
area. The goal
of these events is to create an exceptional gastronomic experience
accompanied by fine and appropriate wines. Thus, creating camaraderie, fun
and when possible, furthering the members knowledge of the culinary arts.
The
Ft. Lauderdale Bailliage is a dynamic organization with a broad membership
composed of both "non-professional" laymen, gastronomes, and "professional"
members. The membership is comprised of 80 members and 50 to 60 associate
members. These associate members are individuals from other Chaîne Chapters in the area who also wish to
participate in the events hosted by our Chapter and pay our local dues.
