Dear Fellow Chaine Members:

I would like to thank our Vice Conseiller Culinaire, Chef Per Jacobsen for a phenomenal Alsatian dinner at his Vienna Cafe and Wine Bar.  Not only was the food fantastic but also the wines were also exceptional.  I think accolades also belong to our own Vice Echanson, Mark Stern.  Our next event will be an Induction Dinner at the Grill Room on Las Olas, which is in the Riverside Hotel.  The menu is truly exceptional and both the hotel and the restaurant are pulling out all of the stops for us. Since this is an Induction Dinner all Inductees and their guest will have first rights.  If there is anyone interested in joining, please send me your membership forms as soon as possible, so that I can get your paperwork in to the national office promptly.  Also, if there is anyone who has been in the Chaine for 20, 30, or 40 years and has not informed me, please do, so that you can be elevated. This event will be Black Tie with Chaine Decorations.

At previous Induction Dinners our chapter has held a silent auction to raise money for our local culinary students. The National Chaine Foundation will match the money that we raise and we will present it to a local culinary school of our choice.  The Silent Auction will consist of mainly Wines, Cigars and Certificates.  Since we do not accept credit cards please bring your checkbooks or cash to this event in case you are interested in any of the auction items.  If anyone has any items they would like to donate to this Auction please contact my Vice Argentier, Jerry Rosenthal
