Dear Fellow Chaine Members:

I would like to thank Chef Rino Balzado and his staff for a job well done. Both the food and service were superb.  I would also like to thank our Vice Echanson, Mark Stern for the outstanding pairings of wines.  I thought it was a great evening.  Our next event is a very special event.  The Chaine des Rotisseur’s Conseiller Culinaire des Etats-Unis, Associate Professor at the Culinary Institute of America, and a former Judge on the Iron Chef, John J. Nihoff, has graciously offered to come down and put on an absolutely unique Chaine event underneath the stars in the courtyard of my home.  He is also bringing the Sous Chef from the Ritz Carlton in Naples and an Instructor and ten students from our Fort Lauderdale Art Institute Culinary division.  This is sure to be the event of the season.  The theme is “Global Cuisine: Tapas From Around the World”.  There will be several stations with extremely unique and delectable dishes.  I have tried to pin our Conseiller Culinaire to a static menu but it keeps growing in leaps and bounds and just keeps getting better and better.  So I will not send a menu this time but suffice it to say both the food and the wines will be excellent.  We will also be giving out scholarships to the culinary students with the funds raised during the auction at our Induction Dinner along with the matching funds from the National Chaine Office.  The dress for this event will be South Beach Chic with Chaine Decorations.

In addition, please remember to send in your checks for local dues so that you can continue attending all of our extraordinary events and receive all of the mailings of the Fort Lauderdale Chaine.
